Energy Security In Uncertain Times -
A GeoExchange system provides a buffer between you and rising utility prices.
Because you’re tapping into solar energy stored in the Earth – energy you already own – you pay for only a fraction of the energy that you need to heat your home.
Depending on the system you install you can get from 3 to 6 units of heat for every unit of electricity that you buy.
In uncertain times, an investment in your own energy security is an excellent one.

Palm House Conservatory Greenhouse Project

exchangenergy designed and installed an integrated energy exchange in this stunning glass and stainless steel conservatory specialty greenhouse project.

This 2-acre botanical research project was built to grow and showcase new cut-flower species not yet in the nursery trade and to identify new cold-hardy palm species. It features geothermal heating from well water, and a gasification boiler with 4,000 gallons of hot water storage.

Interior Dome
The conservatory glass ceiling is 35 feet high. There are two cooling systems: one is fog and the other is chilled well water, which (when warmed) is recycled for irrigation water.

The 6 underground heating storage tanks have 4,000 gallons’ capacity and are reheated every other day by the gasification boiler.
Can Geothermal Be Used to Heat And Cool Greenhouses?
Yes. exchangenergy is able to design an efficient geothermal system, bearing in mind the special air-handling concerns involved with greenhouses.
exchangenergy has written an in-depth article on our blog about this topic. Click here to read more about geothermal systems for greenhouses.
Save Up To 80% On Your Heating Bills

With GeoExchange you get dramatic energy efficiency and energy consumption for a new building’s heating, cooling, and hot water can be reduced by 60% to 80%.
This means that the higher capital costs of GeoExchange systems are offset immediately by lower utility bills.
The simple payback on a GeoExchange system in an average home ranges from six to twelve years. The wide range is due to the different options for mechanical systems and ground coupling. If energy prices continue to rise, which they are unanimously expected to do; payback periods will be even shorter.
