exchangenergy is a specialized GeoExchange / geothermal design and installation company with a focus on high quality and system performance.

We have been designing and installing geothermal heating & cooling systems throughout Vancouver’s Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island since 1998.

We are growing and need to add to our team of Heating Technicians. We are looking for people with experience in our industry who want to be a part of a dynamic company with room for growth.

The ideal candidate will come from a similar industry or have an understanding of the technical knowledge to work in this position. Ideally you will have a trade (refrigeration, plumbing, pipe fitting or other).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation of GeoExchange heating systems, including:
• Ground heat exchangers, Fusion welding (HDPE)
• Hydronic and forced air heat pumps
• Circulators
• Radiant floors
• Control wiring and thermostats
• Deal with clients in a professional, courteous manner (on site only)
• Some travel required

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• 3-5 years minimum experience in a similar capacity
• Able to take the lead on installations
• Good people skills, will be in contact with general contractors and owners
• Responsible and diligent
• Team player
• Ability to troubleshoot installations
• Use and understand technical terms as per industry standards
• Reliable vehicle with clean driving abstract
• Set of tools appropriate for the work
• Bondable
