This 3400 sqft pool room is heated and dehumidified by the geo system. Heat recovered from the dehumidification process is returned to the pool and pool room, increasing the efficiency of the system.
Two Hydron Module 6 Ton heat pumps provide dehumidification and heating for the pool and the pool room. Our investigation showed extremely undersized ground loops with inadequate flow for the load. A pond loop, an improved pumping strategy, and system troubleshooting solved the problems and now the system functions perfectly with extremely low operating costs. Three additional heat pumps of 10 Tons capacity provide heating and cooling for the rest of the home. Reworking of the ground loops, control strategies, distribution systems, and hydronic circuits successfully brought these units on-line.
