Other Services
While our core business is geothermal heating and cooling systems, especially in conjunction with radiant floors, we also provide other related services.
Our commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and cutting-edge technology brings us to the business of various technologies such as hybrid cogeneration, wind power, and even sulphur plasma lighting (currently the most efficient lighting technology with the best colour rendition).
Below are some other services we provide and technologies where we have competence either as installers or consultants.
FTC TESTING
exchangenergy now provides FTC testing. We will organize and manage the test, including drilling, power, data recovery, and detailed reporting of the test results.
Through our Strategic partnership with GRTC, we bring over 20 years of expertise in FTC testing to your project.
ELECTRIC GENERATION WITH HEAT RECOVERY (COGENERATION)
exchangenergy can move your waste energy into your energy demand area.
If your project requires electric generation as a primary system, exchangenergy is prepared to meet your needs. We can install diesel, propane, or natural gas generators, and integrate a cogeneration system to recover the waste heat generated during the combustion cycle. Recovered heat is transferred to a medium (ideally water) that can be used to provide building heat, and to heat domestic hot water.
exchangenergy will design a control strategy that will coordinate the generator with inverter systems and hot water storage.
Geothermal / Geoexchange / solar integration for electric generation with heat recovery can also be achieved right here in Vancouver. Call for an estimate.
Cogeneration effectively increases the efficiency of the combustion cycle, and greatly reduces fuel consumption compared to a conventional system.
HYBRID WIND POWER / DIESEL / GEO INTEGRATION FOR VANCOUVER AND VANCOUVER ISLAND
exchangenergy has experience in wind resource prospecting and development.
Our control strategy experience allows us to integrate hybrid wind / diesel systems, ensuring a reliable electrical supply.
This technology is ideal for remote “off the grid” sites.
